Sui Faces Centralization Criticism After Freezing Cetus Hack Funds

Blockchain security firm Dedaub revealed the Cetus hack was caused by a bug in the platform’s code that let attackers fake massive liquidity deposits using just one token. This flaw allowed them to drain $223 million in user funds. The Sui network responded by freezing $163 million of the stolen assets. However, the move sparked debate, with some in the crypto community questioning the network’s decentralization and censorship resistance.
