Metaplanet’s Bitcoin Stash Grows to 13,350 BTC

Metaplanet, a Japanese Bitcoin treasury firm, has become the fifth-largest corporate Bitcoin holder after purchasing an additional 1,005 BTC for $108 million. The company now holds 13,350 BTC, valued at approximately $1.45 billion. This latest acquisition was partly funded by a strategic bond refinancing, involving the issuance of $208 million in 0% interest bonds to buy more Bitcoin and repay existing debt. Metaplanet’s stock jumped 9% on the news, reflecting its aggressive Bitcoin accumulation strategy and revised targets of holding up to 210,000 BTC by 2027.
