Crypto exchange Gate.io removed a page detailing a $600 million Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) for Pump.fun’s official token, causing confusion. The leaked page, showing a July 12 start date and a $4 billion valuation, was swiftly deleted. Gate.io’s support cited “negotiations” and removal of “Pre-Market OTC,” adding to uncertainty. This comes as Pump.fun’s popularity wanes amidst a memecoin slump.
