Through companies like EmpowerCoin, ECoinPlus, and Jet-Coin, Golden promised guaranteed returns from crypto trading that never occurred, instead using new investor funds to pay older ones or enrich himself. He was convicted of wire fraud and money laundering and ordered to forfeit approximately $2.46 million.
