Social media giant Reddit is reportedly exploring using Worldcoin’s iris-scanning “Orbs” for user verification. The system, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, aims to verify unique individuals while maintaining anonymity. This consideration comes as Reddit seeks to comply with regulatory requirements regarding user age and to combat AI-generated content. However, many users have expressed strong privacy concerns, threatening to leave the platform if the system is adopted.
