OpenSea Broadens Its Scope Beyond NFTs With OS2

The NFT marketplace OpenSea has launched its new platform, OS2, after completing its beta phase.

The company announced that the updated platform facilitates full token trading across 14 blockchains, including the ability to support fungible tokens on Solana. It also brings new tools aimed at improving crosschain functionality. These updates mark a transformation for OpenSea, establishing it as a more comprehensive platform beyond just NFTs.

Adam Hollander, the chief marketing officer of OpenSea, shared that the platform has always embraced the broader vision that everything onchain should be liquid and easily discoverable in one location.
