Hackers posing as IT insiders have stolen approximately $1 million in crypto from various Web3 projects, including NFT platforms Favrr, Replicandy, and ChainSaw, in the past week. Onchain investigator ZackXBT reported the scammers exploited minting mechanisms to create and sell large quantities of NFTs, crashing price floors. This highlights ongoing vulnerabilities from malicious infiltration and exploitation of remote work in the crypto and blockchain industries.
