Australia’s cryptocurrency sector has shown optimism following the recent re-election of the government, which appointed pro-crypto politician Andrew Charlton as the assistant minister for the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies.
During a press conference on May 12 in Canberra, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that Charlton would take on the role of assistant minister for science, technology, and the digital economy, collaborating with Tim Ayres, the minister for industry and innovation.
