Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi revealed his intention for the company to support Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment options in the future. Khosrowshahi stated that integrating crypto payments is part of the company’s broader payment diversification strategy.
He emphasized that Uber does not intend to hold or invest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. Rather, he aims solely to provide users with more flexible payment choices.
Khosrowshahi revealed he’s in no rush to integrate crypto payments due to regulations and technical hurdles associated with cryptocurrency. He, however, said the team is working with experts to ensure a smooth rollout.
Uber already accepts digital payments, such as credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Pay.
