British fintech company Revolut unveils move to commit $1.1 billion to France over the next three years, as part of its plans to expand its European operations. The company will make Paris its Western European hub, overseeing other countries like Spain and Germany.
Revolut also plans to apply for a French banking license to solidify its presence in the sub-region. The expansion is set to create at least 200 additional jobs in France.
The company is working towards its objective of becoming Europe’s largest bank. Currently, the bank serves more than 55 million users globally, out of which 40 million users are in Europe.
