Blockchain marketing and incubation firm, Lunar Digital Assets, has launched its layer-2 network LitVM, based on zero-knowledge proofs of Polygon CDK and BitcoinOS. The firm announced at the Litecoin Summit in Las Vegas.
Supported by the Litecoin Foundation, LitVM will support smart contracts on the Litecoin ecosystem. Its EVM compatibility will enable cross-chain liquidity in the Litecoin network and trustless transactions.
Litecoin founder Charlie Lee expressed happiness at the launch. He added that the new L2 will preserve Litecoin’s scalability and security while bringing smart contract capability to the ecosystem.
