Russia has banned crypto mining all year in 20 districts of Irkutsk Oblast to reduce pressure on the power grid. The ban will last until 2031. Officials also found an illegal mining farm hidden in a closed orphanage, raising more concerns about unlicensed mining and energy shortages in the region.
