New York City Mayor Eric Adams has called for a Bitcoin-backed municipal bond and the repeal of the state’s BitLicense program. Speaking at Bitcoin 2025, Adams said it’s time NYC embraced crypto investment tools and criticized BitLicense for being too expensive and restrictive for crypto businesses.
