United States President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that the easiest way to reduce the budget is to terminate the governmental subsidies and contracts received by Elon Musk. He expressed surprise that the Biden administration had not done so.
In response to the post, Elon Musk stated on his X platform that Donald Trump should go ahead. He added that SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately following the threat to cut his company’s governmental subsidies and contracts.
The two men feuded over the tax bill that imposed high tariffs on major imports. Musk aggressively thrashed the bill because it would plunge the country into more debt. He urged Senate Republicans to “kill the bill.”
