Crypto losses due to hacks have reached a record $2.1 billion in the first half of 2025, according to TRM Labs. Private key exploits and front-end attacks account for over 80% of these thefts, making off with 10 times more funds on average than other attack types. The staggering figure already surpasses 2024’s total losses, driven significantly by a $1.5 billion North Korean hack in February, highlighting an escalating threat to digital assets.
