Bitstamp Secures Approval to Expand Operations Across Europe

Bitstamp, a reputable cryptocurrency exchange and one of the world’s longest-operating platforms, recently received approval under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) to expand its operations across Europe. The license, granted by Luxembourg’s financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) allows Bitstamp to offer crypto services, including trading and order execution across EU member states.

The MiCA regulation ensures crypto service providers follow anti-money laundering (AML) and KYC protocols to safeguard investors’ assets and maintain operational efficiency. Bitstamp’s team revealed that MiCA’s stringent rules align with the company’s objectives of commitment to regulatory compliance.
