According to a Harris poll commissioned by the crypto venture firm Digital Currency Group (DCG), almost 75% of Americans surveyed feel that decentralized artificial intelligence is more likely to foster innovation and advancement compared to a centralized form.
The poll, which involved 2,036 Americans aged 18 and older and was released on May 29, revealed that 56% preferred decentralized AI, while 77% perceived decentralized AI as “more advantageous to society as a whole.”
“Seventy-five percent of Americans concur that the revolutionary potential of AI would have a greater positive impact if it were not concentrated in the hands of a few large companies,” stated Julie Stitzel, DCG’s policy vice president.
